Hi I'm Annabel!
I'm a current second year Law Student at the University of Birmingham and I decided to start this blog to share my time at Law School. I also want to track my weight loss programme and show how a healthy lifestyle can lead to a healthier mind which in turn can reduce stress. I will be sharing my tips and tricks for making both weight loss and law school easier to handle!
More about me: I'm 20 years old and I currently weigh around 170 pounds... ☹️ However, it is not my overall weight I am concerned with, it is my body fat percentage. When you are trying to lose weight it is important to not get bogged down in all the numbers. Weighing yourself regularly can often distract you from your goal! I believe tracking your weight can mentally set you back if you see you haven't achieved the loss you were hoping for. Also, fitness in general should be about your confidence and how you feel about your body- not your actual weight in numbers!
So my body fat percentage, as of last week, is 36%. Now I know this isn't high but it's not perfect and needs improving! When I first found that out it initially set me back and made me very self-conscious. Then I realised that this is my starting point! From now on that figure shall never go above 36- which is something that excites me.
In terms of Law School I am now about 3 weeks into my second year and I can already feel the difference from my first year. If anything, however, I am finding the increased work load and increased topics more interesting! Maybe it is because I know what to expect, or maybe it's just because I have grown up, but overall studying and learning feels much more enjoyable... sometimes haha! Of course there are days where I'm sure I will feel tired and unmotivated, and I will track it all in this blog to inspire you guys to push yourself forward!
So stick with with me throughout this blog as I put up regular updates on how my weight loss and my law school journey is going!
