Okay okay so it’s not really “ice-cream” but it tastes
really good, its frozen and its healthy J
Although, before I share my “creations” I do want you to
know that protein ice-cream really does exist and you can buy it online or at
some supplement stores. It comes in a pint size container, you add water and
freeze. So if you’d like look into “real” protein ice-cream be my guest.
That
being said, you can control the calorie content and the macronutrients if you
create your own.
Berry Satisfying
(corny title I know, but I like it)
I don’t have exact measurements for this one
I always have a bag of mixed frozen berries in my freezer
and Greek yogurt (plain-nonfat) in my fridge and on a whim I decided to see
what would happen if I combined the two
I scooped some yogurt into my blender and added lots of
berries and Tada! Protein “ice-cream”
If the protein in the yogurt isn’t enough you can add ½ a
scoop of vanilla or strawberry protein powder if you’d like J
This should give you sort of a soft-serve frozen yogurt type
of constancy … if this works for you, eat and enjoy! If you’d like it thinker
or firmer stick it in the freezer for a little while J
Chocolate Banana
(I’m considering calling this one Choconana haha)
You need a banana, a scoop of chocolate protein and a dash
of milk (I used almond)
I have always been a fan of ice-cream with “stuff” in it, I
like the consistency differences and the mixing of flavors so I made this one
by hand
I simply mashed the banana but left some pieces added the
scoop of protein and just enough milk to mix it all together.
Since none of these ingredients were frozen already I then
stuck it in the freezer for a while
I enjoy the frozen yogurt not too firm constancy so it
didn’t talk too long for it to hard enough for me to enjoy but keep it in there
until your happy with the degree of frozenness J
**this would also work great with strawberry protein
“Strawnana” flavor or vanilla protein for a more Banana Cream flavor **

You CAN crave healthy foods. Eating clean does not mean eating boring,
unflavored food the rest of your life!!!

I love protein ice cream. I thought I was the first to invent it two summers ago, but when I got blogging I noticed other people had the idea, too ;) HAHA
